LawnVerdict is an independent editorial site about looking after a lawn — the machines that cut it: petrol, battery, mains, cylinder and robot mowers — the ground under it: scarifiers, lawn aerators, lawn rollers, tillers, lawn soil, lawn sand and soil testers — the water: garden pumps, water timers, hoses, hose reels, hose connectors, sprinklers, drip irrigation, spray guns, pressure sprayers and rain barrels — what is sown and spread: spreaders, lawn seed, lawn fertiliser and moss killers — the autumn: leaf blowers, lawn sweepers and garden shredders — the edges and the hands: lawn edging, artificial grass, lawn shears, garden rakes, weeders, weed burners, wheelbarrows and garden gloves — and the parts a mower goes through season after season: blades, scarifier blades, robot blades, boundary wire, robot garages, grass catchers, air filters, wheels, covers and mulching kits. It does not cover hedge trimmers and chainsaws, pressure washers, greenhouses and raised beds, or garden furniture, all of which are covered elsewhere; nor groundwork as a service, nor irrigation designed and installed for you, nor anything presented as advice on whether a particular machine may be used on a particular site. Stated areas, cutting widths and heights, slope ratings, sound power levels, motor ratings, delivery heads, suction heights, flow rates, burst and working pressures, bores, thread sizes, spreading widths, application rates, capacities and masses published by manufacturers are reported as such, with their unit written as published, with their source named, and never derived by us. In particular, a burst pressure and a working pressure are reported as the two different things they are, and the first is never presented as the second. Nothing here replaces a manufacturer's own instructions, the plate fixed to a machine, the label on a treatment, or the rules of the country you are in — and two statements are repeated on every page that touches them: a stated area is a published figure about a product measured against a lawn the maker assumed, and is never presented here as advice about what a particular garden needs; and no mower, no treatment, no burner and no glove is described on this site as making any job safe.
