A cover keeps a mower dry between cuts, and the shelf is dominated by one fabric: Oxford polyester, 210D or 600D, with a polyurethane or silver coating on the inside. That coating is what makes it waterproof, and it is also what makes a cover a mixed blessing — a sealed cover over a warm engine traps condensation, and a mower that spends the winter under one can come out rustier than one left uncovered in a dry shed. The good listings on this shelf mention a vent or a loose skirt for exactly that reason. The dimensions are the buying question and they are given as three numbers that describe a box, not a mower: a cover 190 × 92 × 118 cm will drape over most walk-behind machines and swamp a 32 cm cordless one, while a ride-on needs a different size entirely — this shelf carries both, and the titles distinguish them.
