This one is towed, behind an ATV or a garden tractor, and its fill weight is
181 kg — more than the heaviest hand roller here manages even filled with sand.
It appears on the same shelf because it is a lawn roller. It should not appear
on the same shortlist as a 42 cm hand roller, and this page says so rather than
letting the price sort it out.
What it is made of
An LLDPE drum on a Q235 steel frame.
That is the only plastic drum on this shelf, and it is the right choice for a
towed roller for one reason: a steel drum that big, left outdoors full of
water, rusts from the inside.
Polyethylene does not corrode. It can be left full, it can be left wet, and the
winter drain-down that a steel drum needs is not a structural requirement here.
What it cannot do is take a scraper. A steel blade riding against a plastic
drum wears the drum, so this machine has none, and soil that builds up on it
gets washed off rather than peeled off.
Two inlets, which is the weight adjustment
Named in the listing as a convenience, and it is more than that.
Nobody is going to part-drain a towed roller mid-job to change the pressure.
Two inlets mean the choice is made at filling: one for a lighter pass, both for
a full 181 kg.
The listing also names sealed plugs, so they do not fall out under way. On a
machine dragged across rough ground that is a real detail.
What goes unpublished
A working width.
On a towed roller that is the number that matters — the whole reason to own one
is covering a large area in a pass, and the pass width is the machine’s
productivity.
The overall dimensions are given as 1240 × 1158 × 445 mm, and the
manufacturer’s own reference string names 36 inches and 400 pounds. Those are
consistent with a wide drum, and they are not a published working width, so
this page does not print one.
An empty weight. Which means the total working weight — the figure used to
compare every other product on this shelf — cannot be worked out for this one.
The hitch question
“Compatible with common ATV and tractor models”, by way of an extended hook of
5 cm.
No machines are named. No hitch dimension is given beyond that.
Towing hitches on garden tractors and ATVs are not standardised in the way a
car towball is, and “common models” is a category rather than a fitment.

181 kg over grass is a great deal of pressure, and the jobs that justify it are
specific: seedbed contact on a large sown area, settling turf, flattening a
frost-lifted paddock.
Towing it across damp clay as routine maintenance compacts the root zone over
an area proportional to how quickly you can cover ground — which, on this
machine, is quickly.
