The mains mower is a wide-deck corded machine with a high stated wattage — the specification that suits an open lawn near a socket and suits nothing else, because a cable decides the mowing pattern rather than the lawn doing so.
The robot is the more interesting entry. It navigates without a boundary wire, using vision, and it sits at the accessible end of a shelf whose other wire-free machines use satellite positioning with a reference station or laser scanning. Those are three genuinely different approaches with three different failure modes, and a camera system is the one affected by light and by an overgrown edge.
Its stated area, like every stated area on the robot shelf, is a duty-cycle calculation made by the manufacturer with hours it chose. This site prints it as an assumption and prints the cutting width and the slope figure beside it, because those are the measurements.
