The bottom line One of only two robots here to publish a noise figure — 58 dB — and neither says which quantity it is, sound power or sound pressure, which are two different numbers both written in decibels. A robot mower needing no cable, no RTK and no manual mapping, using high-precision cameras for navigation: unpack, place, start. The mapping is automatic with multi-zone management and path planning. 3D detection is stated to avoid over 300 obstacle types such as toys and garden furniture, and to manage passages as narrow as 60 cm, reliably under trees and in shade.
Animal-friendly mowing is stated explicitly: the machine recognises hedgehogs, small animals and pets and stops immediately, and drives around flower beds and lawn edges. Ride-on-edge technology is stated to give clean edges without a second cut, with dense parallel mowing producing a striped pattern and automatic re-mowing preventing gaps. The app manages zones, no-go areas, virtual walls, schedules, edge mowing and mowing direction, and the machine returns automatically in rain and low light. The maker states 58 dB, quieter than a normal conversation.
58 dB, compared in the listing to a conversation — which is a sound pressure comparison, because a conversation’s loudness is a pressure at a distance.
But the figure marked on every garden machine by law is a sound power level, which is a property of the source and is typically much higher. The two are not the same number and both are written “dB”.
This page prints 58 dB and states that the quantity is unnamed, because putting it in a column beside a guaranteed sound power level would compare two different things.
Several machines on this shelf mention hedgehogs in an obstacle list. This one makes it a feature line of its own and states the behaviour: stop, rather than avoid.

It depends entirely on which quantity it is, and the listing does not say. A guaranteed sound power level and a sound pressure level at a distance are different numbers for the same machine, often more than ten decibels apart, and both are printed as “dB”. This page reports the figure and names the ambiguity.
