What the maker prints on its own page
Made of 210D waterproof and hard-wearing Oxford fabric, described as
waterproof, dustproof and weatherproof in every season.
The size is about 195 × 66 × 108 cm, also given in inches. The maker states it
fits most lawn tractor models and asks the buyer to check the size before
purchase.
There is a silver UV-resistant coating on the inside, stated to protect against
deterioration by sunlight, and to protect against rust, dust, mould, wind, rain
and snow.
The Oxford fabric is described as soft and as not hardening even in the coldest
weather. It fits and comes off in seconds and is supplied with a drawstring bag
for carrying and hanging.
The cover is cleaned by hosing it and drying it in the sun.
The UV layer
The most important feature on this shelf and the one people buy covers without
thinking about.
A mower cover does not fail because of rain. It fails because ultraviolet
degrades the fabric: two summers of direct sun on a thin woven polyester and
the material goes chalky, loses its flexibility, and tears at the stitch line
the first time it is pulled on in a hurry.
A reflective coating on the inside is what slows that. Three covers here
mention one.
Staying soft in the cold
An odd-sounding claim and a real one.
A coated fabric that stiffens at low temperature is a cover you cannot get on
the machine in November without cracking the coating. The covers that end up
split along a fold line have usually been folded cold.
210D, and what it is not
A denier figure — the mass of the yarn. It says the cloth is made of
reasonably substantial thread and says nothing about whether water goes
through it.
Three covers on this shelf state 210D. None of them states a water column
rating, which would be the actual measure.
The size contradiction
The feature line says it fits most lawn tractor models; the product is
sold as a lawnmower cover and the dimensions — 195 cm long, 66 wide, 108 high —
describe a tall narrow object, which is a walk-behind machine with its handle
up rather than a ride-on.

The fixing
A drawcord and nothing else.
That is enough under a lean-to and it is not enough in an open garden in
autumn. Two covers on this shelf add a strap or metal eyelets, and on an
exposed site that is what keeps the cover on the mower.

From 9 € to 11 €, that being the spread across the German, French and Spanish Amazon stores on the day of the survey.
Beyond the euro zone, the British Amazon store prices it in its own currency, which the spread above sets aside.
More than 1.6× the cheapest country at the Italian Amazon store; a gap of that size normally means forwarded stock rather than a seller on the ground, so the spread above leaves it out.
Nothing came back from the American Amazon store at all; the buy button there runs a search rather than opening an empty page.
